How to make a resume in about ten minutes

You don’t need an account. This walkthrough matches the real editor: name and contact (with a country-code phone), suggestions for any field, only the sections that belong, a template, then a PDF. Same steps if you’re making a CV or a free curriculum vitae.

  1. Step 1

Add your name and contact details

Start with name, email, location, and an optional phone number with a country code. Links are optional. Required fields have to be valid before you can continue.

  2. Step 2

Skip the photo if it doesn’t belong

A headshot is optional. Many US resumes omit it. If a template has a photo slot and you skip this step, the layout simply has no picture.

  3. Step 3

Write a short summary — or skip it

A few sentences on what you do is enough. If you don’t want a summary section, skip it so it never prints an empty heading.

  4. Step 4

Fill only the sections that apply

Work through experience, internships, projects, education, skills, and the rest. Pick from suggestions — software, data, IT, pharmacy, architecture, construction — or type your own. Skip anything that isn’t on this resume.

  5. Step 5

    Optionally make experience bullets ATS-friendly

On an experience entry you can rewrite bullets into plain, action-led lines. That step is optional and only runs if you click it.

  6. Step 6

Pick a template and download a PDF

Switch designs in the live preview until one fits, then download a PDF of that same view. The file is the preview you already checked.

What you can skip

Every content section is optional. Internships, patents, hobbies, a photo — if it isn’t on this resume, skip it. Skipped sections never print an empty heading. That’s the whole product: make a resume from only the parts you need.

After you download

The PDF is the live preview you already checked. If you want a different look, switch templates and download again. For a private, no-account workflow see how data stays on your device, or browse free resume templates.
